Linda Ellis, President

CEBS

Linda Ellis is the president and owner of Augmented HR Solutions, LLC. Through Augmented HR Solutions, LLC, she has been providing consulting and fractional HR services to companies for the past seven years.

Linda has spent her career in human resources serving companies of all sizes, from very small to 100,000+ employees. Her industry experience includes legal, financial, banking, retail, services, technology, insurance, manufacturing. Past positions include benefits manager for a large Dallas law firm and VP of Human Resources for a large insurance company. She developed the HR and benefits infrastructure from scratch for two new companies, and she designed, implemented, and administered the retirement, savings, and stock plans for Electronic Data Systems, a company that grew from 6800 employees to more than 100,000 during her time with the company.

Linda is a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Wharton School of Business. She earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Management from Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio, TX. She has held board positions with the Dallas chapters of Worldwide Employee Benefits Network (WEB) and International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS).

Sheryl Ellis, Consultant

PHRca, SHRM-CP, ADAC, DLMS

Sheryl has more than 20 years of experience in human resources. She is a recognized expert in Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and she specializes in:

  • assisting employers in successfully implementing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) programs, practices, and policies
  • helping workplaces design ADA-compliant processes
  • facilitating communication between employee and employer about reasonable accommodations
  • employee relations
  • training
  • performance management
  • coaching

Sheryl helps businesses create processes and a culture that facilitates the accommodation requirements of the ADA.

Before joining Augmented HR Solutions, LLC as a consultant, Sheryl provided HR services in a variety of industries including nonprofits, communications, IT, hospitality, and manufacturing. She has worked with businesses ranging in size from start-ups to medium-sized businesses. Sheryl’s experience managing a staffing agency and working for several professional employer organizations (PEO) has given her a unique insight in managing vendor relationships and HR challenges.

Sheryl earned the Certified ADA Coordinator (ADAC) through the ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP), and her Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) through the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC). Based on her professional and personal experience, Sheryl published Making It Work: Managing Your Health Condition Through ADA Workplace Accommodations (Revised 2021).

Sheryl is also a Certified Professional in Human Resources with an expertise in regulations and legal mandates specific to the state of California (PHRca) and a Certified Human Resources Professional (SHRM-CP) through the Society of Human Resources Management. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in business administration from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, and her Master of Arts in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
